Biochemical and biophysical characteristics of macromolecular assemblies starting at the atomic level and proceeding to the cellular level. Topics include ribosomes, viruses, poly-merases, membrane protein assemblies and ion transporters, which will be examined through lecture, discussion, and interactive computational modules.
